The Wye Valley was designated an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1971 to protect the special features that make it one of the finest lowland landscapes in Britain. Straddling the English and Welsh Borders the Wye is one of the nation’s favourite rivers, known as the birthplace of British Tourism at 185 miles in length the Wye is the country’s fourth longest river.

On Easter Monday we travel to the Wye Valley through the Cotswolds stopping for lunch along the way. Our week will include a visit to Hereford, Abergavenny on Market Day and the Brecon Beacons, Forest of Dean and steam train ride. Friday morning, we journey down the Wye Valley to Chepstow then over the Severn Bridge and along the M4 motorway towards home.
