Seen by almost 12-million people across five continents, it has won more than 80 major awards worldwide and enjoyed over 11 hugely successful years in London’s West End, alongside a landmark 18-month UK and Ireland tour.
Set in a northern town against the backdrop of the miners’ strike of 1984 and 1985, the musical tells the powerful story of Billy, a young boy who stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class. What begins as a secret soon becomes a passion that challenges expectations, brings a family together, inspires a community, and changes a life forever.
Based on the Academy Award-nominated film and brought to the stage by an award-winning creative team, Billy Elliot the Musical features an unforgettable score by Elton John. Funny, moving and uplifting, it remains an extraordinary theatrical experience that continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
With a run time of approximately 2.5 hours we aim to leave by 5pm and back about 7pm.
