Bruges Christmas Markets

Setting off early, we'll board the 9:20 am Eurotunnel to France. We anticipate arriving in Bruges around 1pm giving you the afternoon to explore its charm and Christmas market before our departure at 7pm. We'll then catch the 9:50 pm Eurotunnel back to Folkestone, with an estimated arrival time back home of approximately 11pm.
The two Christmas Markets in the city centre are beautifully decorated and embellished. The sales stalls, with a new warm finish, will welcome you with their atmospheric lighting in the typical Winter Glow style. These blissful winter hamlets with their cosy ambiance, packed with knick-knacks, will help you get into the Christmas spirit without any problems.
With two Christmas markets to choose from as well as the charm of the town there's plenty to see and do:
Market Square (Grote Market):
Features traditional Christmas market stalls selling goods and local food, an ice rink, and a large Christmas tree.
Simon Stevinplein:
Offers a less crowded market with craft products, handmade items, and carnival games for children.
"Winter Glow" Event:
The Christmas market is part of a larger winter festival with light installations, a light experience trail, and a cosy winter bar.
Ice skating:
An artificial ice rink is a popular attraction in Market Square.
Other activities:
Enjoy canal cruises (weather permitting), visit museums, or explore the city's historic centre.
