Cantabria in northern Spain offers a stunning coastline, an enviable range of historic villages and ports and the beautiful Picos de Europa mountains. Our 4-star hotel has a spectacular setting in the village of Isla, overlooking the bay and close to Santander. From here explore quaint fishing ports, Santander, Santillana del Mar and the glorious Picos de Europa.
This 10-day holiday begins with a relaxing overnight cruise from Plymouth to Santander, setting the tone for a Spanish adventure. Upon arrival you’ll make the short drive to Isla, where you can check into your accommodation and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Our holiday includes a visit to Santillana del Mar, a captivating World Heritage-listed village often described as a living museum, where you can wander cobbled streets and browse artisan shops. The afternoon includes a stop in Comillas, known as the ‘City of
Archbishops’, boasting impressive architecture and a rich historic centre. Another day features a full day excursion to the majestic Picos De Europa mountain range. You’ll pass through the dramatic River Deva Valley canyon enroute to Potes, a picturesque market
town nestled high in the mountains. For breathtaking panoramic views, an optional cable car trip into the peaks is available at Fuente Dé. The tour concludes on Day 9 with time to explore Santander before boarding the afternoon sailing back to the UK, arriving home on
Day 10.

full refurbishment. From the hotel’s lush gardens there is direct access onto the sandy
