Travelling via Winchester on Friday we arrive in Basingstoke ready for this Highclere weekend. Saturday morning begins with a fascinating step back in time at Milestones Museum, where you can explore a reconstructed Victorian town and 1940s street. The excitement builds on Saturday evening with the spectacular Highclere Battle of the Proms, featuring dazzling music and fireworks set against the magnificent backdrop of the
castle grounds. We conclude the weekend on Sunday with a visit to the globally famous Highclere Castle (the setting for Downton Abbey), where you can tour the state rooms and explore the gardens before our journey home.
