Pennine Hills & Pendle Witches
Monday 7th April 2025 to Thursday 10th April 2025
Single Supplement £80
Often described as the ‘Backbone of England’ the Pennine Hills form a more or less continuous range northwards from the Peak District up to the Tyne Gap. The region is widely considered to be one of the most iconic areas of the United Kingdom and is home to the infamous Pendle Witches. We will have a full day with Simon, a local tour guide who is an excellent storyteller with charm and humour in the way he explains the history of the Pendle Witches and the mysterious stories of the Pennine Hills. Through the historic market town of Skipton flows the Leeds and Liverpool Canal on its 127-mile journey across the Pennines, we enjoy a short trip and then in the afternoon we take a return trip on the Embsy & Bolton Steam Railway. Hebden Bridge is known for its vibrant arts and culture scene, and we spend the morning here before we take the climb across the hills on the A6033 to Haworth where we spend time visiting Bronte Country.
