Reims - A free day in Reims offers plenty to explore, from the magnificent Reims Cathedral, where French kings were once crowned, to the elegant squares, cafés, and shopping streets of the city centre. You could visit one of the famous Champagne houses for a cellar tour and tasting, stroll through the beautiful Parc de Champagne or along the canal, and discover local history at the Palais du Tau or Saint-Remi Basilica. Reims is also ideal for simply relaxing with lunch at a traditional brasserie, enjoying pastries and Champagne, and soaking up the atmosphere of one of France’s most historic and stylish cities.
Champagne - Today we follow the famous Champagne Route through the heart of France’s celebrated wine region, travelling from Reims to elegant Épernay, home to the renowned Avenue de Champagne, lined with grand Champagne houses and historic cellars. We continue to the charming village of Hautvillers, closely linked to Dom Pérignon and often regarded as the birthplace of Champagne. On our return journey, we stop at a local Champagne producer in Champagne-Belém for a tasting and informative talk, offering the perfect opportunity to learn more about the traditions and craftsmanship behind this world-famous sparkling wine.
